Cookie Policy
How Best Products UK uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can control them.
Last updated: 30 April 2026
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make sites work, to remember your preferences, and to provide aggregated information about how the site is used. We also use cookie-like technologies such as local storage where it makes sense to do so — for the purpose of this policy, the same rules apply.
2. Our approach
We try to use as few cookies as we reasonably can. We do not run third-party advertising networks on the Site. We do not use cookies to build behavioural profiles, and we do not sell data to data brokers.
Where a cookie is not strictly necessary to deliver the page you requested, we ask for your consent first, in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR.
3. Cookies we use
| Name | Provider | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| consent | bestproductsai.co.uk | Strictly necessary | Stores your cookie-banner choices so we don't keep asking. | 12 months |
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics 4 | Analytics | Distinguishes unique users and sessions for aggregated traffic analytics. | Up to 13 months |
| click_* | bestproductsai.co.uk | Analytics | Anonymous click counter on /go/ outbound redirects, so we can measure which articles drive clicks. No personal data. | Session |
4. Cookie categories explained
Strictly necessary
These cookies are required to deliver the Site to you and remember basic choices such as your cookie-banner response. They cannot be switched off in our preferences panel because the Site will not function correctly without them. They do not need consent under PECR.
Analytics
These cookies measure how visitors interact with the Site so we can improve it. Information is processed in aggregate and we configure analytics to anonymise IP addresses and disable advertising features. These cookies are loaded only with your consent.
Functional
Functional cookies remember preferences such as your region or saved articles. We do not currently set functional cookies; if we add any, this list will be updated.
5. Third-party tracking from outbound links
When you click an outbound link to Amazon UK or another retailer, the destination site will set its own cookies under its own privacy and cookie policy. We have no control over those cookies. The affiliate networks we work with (e.g. Amazon Associates UK) attribute the click via a partner tag passed in the URL — they do not receive your name or email address from us.
6. How to manage cookies
You can change your preferences at any time by clicking Cookie settings in the Site footer. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser:
Disabling all cookies may break parts of the Site. Disabling analytics cookies will not affect your ability to read articles or click outbound links.
7. Do Not Track
We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal where your browser sends one. If we detect GPC we do not load analytics cookies until you explicitly opt in.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we add or remove cookies, or when the law changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent revision.
9. Contact
For questions about cookies or to exercise your data rights, contact us at editorial@bestproductsai.co.uk. The full list of your rights is in our Privacy Policy.
