Privacy Policy
How Best Products UK collects, uses, and protects your personal data, in line with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
Last updated: 30 April 2026
1. Who we are
Best Products UK (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website at bestproductsai.co.uk. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website. The legal entity behind the site is Best Products UK Ltd, registered in England & Wales (Companies House number TBC), registered office TBC.
If you have any question about this policy or how we handle your data, contact us at editorial@bestproductsai.co.uk.
2. What data we collect
We collect a limited amount of personal data:
- Usage data — pages visited, time on page, referring URL, browser type, approximate location (country / region), device type. Collected automatically via privacy-respecting analytics.
- Affiliate click data— when you click an outbound “View on Amazon” or partner-retailer button, we record an anonymised click count via the
/go/[product-id]redirect on this domain. We do not pass personal data to retailers beyond what your browser itself sends. - Newsletter subscribers — if you sign up to our newsletter we collect your email address and the date of subscription.
- Contact data — if you email us directly, we receive your email address and the contents of your message.
We do not run user accounts or comment systems. We do not collect names, addresses, passwords, or payment details on this site.
3. How we use your data
- To understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it
- To measure the performance of our content and outbound affiliate links
- To send our newsletter, if you have subscribed
- To respond to enquiries and complaints sent to us by email
- To diagnose technical errors and prevent abuse of our infrastructure
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use it for behavioural advertising, and we do not run third-party ad networks on this site.
4. Lawful bases (UK GDPR Article 6)
- Legitimate interests — for analytics, performance measurement, affiliate-click tracking, and site security. We have assessed that these uses do not override your rights.
- Consent — for non-essential cookies and for the newsletter. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
- Contract / pre-contract — for replying to your direct enquiries.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
See our full Cookie Policy for the categories of cookies we use, who sets them, and how to control them.
6. Sharing your data
We share personal data only with processors and partners that help us operate the site:
- Hosting and content delivery providers (e.g. Vercel, AWS) for serving the site
- Privacy-respecting analytics providers
- Email-delivery providers, if you subscribe to the newsletter
- Affiliate networks (Amazon Associates UK and similar) — they receive only the information your browser passes when you click an outbound link, plus a partner ID that lets them attribute the click. They do not receive your name or contact details.
We may also disclose data where we are required to do so by law, by a court order, or by a regulator such as the Information Commissioner’s Office.
7. International transfers
Some of our processors are based outside the UK and the EEA (for example, in the United States). Where personal data is transferred, we rely on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK Addendum, or an adequacy decision under UK GDPR.
8. Data retention
- Aggregated analytics: up to 26 months
- Affiliate click logs: up to 13 months
- Newsletter subscriber records: until you unsubscribe, plus a short audit period
- Email correspondence: as long as needed to deal with your enquiry, then archived for up to 24 months
9. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request erasure (“right to be forgotten”) of your data
- Object to or restrict processing based on legitimate interests
- Withdraw consent for processing based on consent
- Data portability
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk
To exercise any of these rights, email us at editorial@bestproductsai.co.uk. We aim to respond within one calendar month.
10. Children
Best Products UK is a general-audience product review site. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with their data, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. Security
We use HTTPS across the site, restrict access to operational systems, and rely on reputable processors with their own security programmes. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, however.
12. Third-party links
Best Products UK contains links to external websites, including Amazon UK and other retailers. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and recommend reading their respective privacy policies.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use of the site after a change is published constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
